Green Peppers Growing Near Krapets.
Description:
Peppers like these are a central part of Bulgarian cuisine often used in salads and also roasted and stuffed.
For me the smell of roasting or baking peppers is one of the most typical indications that I’m in Bulgaria.
Krapets is a small seaside village on the Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria

Photo Comments:
As these peppers were growing in a fenced garden I had to use a long lens – in this case a telephoto zoom.
I often prefer to use prime lenses but in this situation a zoom lens was better as I needed to take my picture from a fixed position.
I pressed my lens as near as possible to the wire and took the picture handheld from a low angle.

Krapets is a small village on the Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria surrounded by rich agricultural plains.
Scarecrows like this are quite common in the surrounding fields.

Photo Comments:
As it was not possible to approach the scarecrows too closely – there were also dogs in the fields – I used my 70-300 zoom with image stabalization.
